Entrepreneur Story
My father is an entrepreneur: he taught me to sell high and buy low and to over deliver. The concept of over delivery is that as an entrepreneur you give them more than they expect. He took me to his office one day and drove me to hotels to show me first hand how the spirit of an entrepreneurship work. He showed me how to keep his clients happy by over delivering whatever the client asks for. He promised one of the clients that they would get 10% profit, but they ended up getting 15% of the profit because of his dedication to his clients. My dad believes in customer service and wants to make the client happy. Also, we gave out Godiva Chocolate to my father’s clients. From the chocolate, we learned that people are always happy to get chocolate and refer to other people to buy property and invest in hotels.
I enrolled in ENT3003 because I am in the Innovation Academy and I want to fulfill my minor requirement, also since my father is an entrepreneur I hope to learn the concepts to be a successful entrepreneur like him. I hope to get a great understanding of the business world around me and how business works. I hope that I can learn the concept of investment and customer service just like my father was taught.

Bug List
2A – Bug List
Bug 1: GMO
non-labeling at Publix
-During my
shopping spree, the customers around me at the Publix on 13th St and
I were disappointed to see that Publix does not label their foods, such as meat
as GMO.
This bug exists because Publix knows that if people are informed that foods have GMO's then customers will not buy their food.
Bug 2: Babies
crying at Olive Garden
-During my
time with friends, I could not talk to my friends and catch up with them about
their summer vacation because the babies that were sitting across the table
from me would not stop crying at Olive Garden.
This bug exists because some parents do not teach their babies manners and babies do not know any better, so by getting attention they cry it out.
Bug 3: On
the road when the light first turns green
-As I was
driving to work, I noticed that a woman behind me would not stop honking her
horn at me because I did not realize that the light just turned green.
This bug exists because people are very rushed and want to get to where they are going fast enough.
Bug 4:
Stepping in dog poop
-As I was
walking to the gym, I walked on the grass and noticed several owners that did
not clean up after their dogs, which caused me to step in poop accidentally.
This bug exists because owners do not want to deal with poop and are too lazy to pick it up.
Bug 5: Towing
in Gainesville
-I left my
car at Chic-Fil-A for ten minutes to go pick up a document in the office
nearby, and when I returned my car was gone. I had to go to the towing office
and pay $100.
This bug exists because the towing company wants to make money and it is not allowed to do that in Gainesville.
Bug 6: Littering
in Gainesville
-During my
time at the pool, I noticed several college students leave behind trash bags,
beer, and cups. I had to pick it up myself and throw it away.
This bug exists because people cannot make the commitment to be enviornmentally-friendly and pick up their trash.
Bug 7: Bathroom
won’t stay shut
-As I was
at the library, I had to use the bathroom, I noticed once I got into one of the
stalls that the lock had been broken off and the bathroom won’t stay shut. As a
result, I had to use the urinal instead.
This bug exists because people often break the locks because they have nothing else to do than to vandalize property.
Bug 8: Tapingo
Order
-As I was
picking up an order from Starbucks, the barista messed up my order and put too
much milk in my coffee, when I specifically told them in the instructions to
put a little bit of milk.
This bug exists because people often make mistakes and do not read the instructions carefully.
Bug 9:
Uber Drivers
-Uber driving
can be ridiculous sometimes: I hopped into my Uber and told the guy to drop me
off at the nearest CVS; however, the guy dropped me off two blocks away and I
was stranded.
This bug exists because Uber drivers do not want to follow instructions and go by what the GPS says.
Bug 10: Automated
Calls
-I was on
the phone with AT&T and they gave me several options to dial to talk to a
specific person, such as press 1 for this, press 2 for this. I find it absurd
how companies have these kinds of options instead of waiting to be spoken to.
This bug exists because the company wants to assist peoples' issues in several ways.
Bug 11:
Employee miscommunication
-One time
I was at Walmart I asked one of the employees where I could find sunglasses.
Instead of the employee walking me to where the sunglasses are located he just
pointed and said, “You can find them over there.”
This bug exists because the employee doesn't have great customer service or the employee is too lazy to get up and tell you where it is.
Bug 12:
Prices for girls and boys at clubs
-As I was
entering Liv in Miami Beach, the bouncer told me to pay $30 since I am a guy
and my lady friends to pay $10. I see this fault as a sexism act and I get
disappointed that I have to pay more since I am a guy.
This bug exists because promoters want to have more ladies in the club than men.
Bug 13: When
you get the wrong coupon
-I was
given a coupon to use at Subway. When I went up to pay for my food, the cashier
informed me that the $3 off coupon is not valid at UF Subway Franchises. I was
frustrated.
This bug exists because the franchises run UF not the other way around.
Bug 14: Parking
spaces
-While I
was parking, a big minivan next to me parked really close to my car at the Oaks
Mall and it was really tough to get out of the car. I had to squeeze through
the crack, since the parking space was minimal and the car was huge.
This bug exists because people do not have great parking skills and the mall has limited parking space.
Bug 15: Library absurdity
-It annoys me whenever I try to study or take a quiz at the library that people are talking loudly as if it is recess.
This bug exists because people take study breaks and during their study break they talk, but other people do not go by the same study break.
Bug 16: Headphones
-While I am at the gym using the treadmill, my earbuds always fall out of my ear and I have to stop what I am doing to fix it.
This bug exists because ear buds are small and thin.
Bug 17: Holds on UFL account
-Every time I register for a class, I always to give the same address.
This bug exists because people often switch addresses, so they want to make sure that people have their address updated.
Bug 18: Restaurants not open after Midnight
-Usually I get hungry at Midnight, I want to eat something that I enjoy - not fast food! Restaurants should have more hours open.
This bug exists because few customers do not want to be working for twenty four hours or late.
Bug 19: Airplanes not having WiFi
-I traveled on Spirit and they told me that there was free WiFi; however, I saw the price and they charged me $10.00.
This bug exists because airlines want to make profit off of their customers.
Bug 20: Archer Road
-I constantly complain about the traffic on Archer Road due to the Construction. It makes driving to class and work unbearable.
This bug exists because the constructers are building new shops and restaurants.
It was difficult to come up with the reasons due to the fact that there are so many reasons that bug us. We cannot think through twenty reasons why something might bug someone. We all have pet peeves and we have to work out things in life. Every bug has a meaning behind it and not everyone understands the meaning. I hope that services and companies resolve the main issues why someone might find something annoying, especially if they are buying it.

Sample of My College Essay
It is a paradox: Although average Americans will never experience the scourge of terrorism firsthand, we never seem to tire of obsessing over the possibility of a terrorist attack. Conversely, most Israelis, having endured terrorism for so long, seem to take terrorist events more or less in stride. To them, terrorism is an inconvenience that comes with being part a tiny minority surrounded by a hostile majority.
Last summer, as a student at Alexander Muss High School in the city of Hod Hasharon, I experienced what it is like to live under the same sword of Damocles that everyday Israelis do. As a visitor to Israel I had, of course, participated in a training session that taught me the procedure I needed to follow in case of a terrorist attack. Honestly, at the time I found it all a bit surreal because as a Hispanic American, I naturally possessed an insular, rather provincial perspective and I could not grasp the reality that Israeli citizens risk their lives every time they step out of their homes.
