Solving the Problem
My selected opportunity consists of free Wi-Fi on board the aircraft. The solution of this will include airlines offering free Wi-Fi to customers on board. Some airline trips are $2,000 to fly -- why pay more when your expenses are already too much (water bill, electrical bill). Also, some televisions offered on board crash or have limited movie selections. People also need Wi-Fi for business calls and emergencies. Being on a flight for twenty-four hours is tough, especially not being entertained. Also, airlines can operate hotspot in the air, instead of relying on satellites.

Paying extra for internet access on a plane does seem a little outlandish in this day and age. Access to the internet may even be considered a basic human right in most first world countries. I think that airlines should adopt providing free internet as a form of better customer service! I really like the idea, great job!
ReplyDeleteI agree that people should have access to Wifi onboard airplanes. It's so annoying having to remember to download movies and music to your devices ahead of time. When I go to visit my family in New York, I try to do school work on the plane, but most of the time I can't submit the assignments due to the fact that I'm offline. I think if airlines were to adopt free internet it would really help a lot of people out!
ReplyDeleteHi Jake, this seems like a pretty logical idea. I think a lot of people have come to expect wireless on certain types of flights, but it would be nice to have it standardized across the industry. It is definitely not fun to be stuck on a long flight with seemingly nothing to do. Great idea, keep going with it!
ReplyDeleteHello Jake, I really like this idea. I fly a lot, especially during the holidays, and the lack of wifi makes my flights less enjoyable. I would actually be more inclined to fly a specific airline if free wifi was offered. This is a great solution and many consumers of all different demographics would benefit. To reiterate sentiments from one of the comments above, I too think that free wifi should be part of common customer service!
